Frankie is nationally & internationally known as the "walk ‘n roll dog.” After a diagnoses of IVDD at the age of six, she was custom- fitted for a doggie wheelchair. Frankie shares her story of inspiration and hope in the award-winning book series, Frankie the Walk ‘N Roll Dog. They are written from Frankie’s point of view. Frankie’s poignant message is that we all have challenges, but we have a choice as to how we deal with our challenges, and we can each find a way to give back despite obstacles. Frankie's motto is: “Always be positive, make a difference, and keep on rolling!” In 2009 Frankie was inducted into the WI Pet Hall of Fame for her work with children, visiting schools in WI & and via Skype in the US & Canada, as well as a therapy dog regularly visiting a senior assisted facility and a hospice community. Frankie has been featured in Woman's World, The American Dog, USA Today, AOL PAW Nation, and many other publications. She has also been featured in 3 books: "Dogs & the Women Who Love Them" recommended by Oprah's O Magazine, "Animals and the Kids Who Love Them" and "Every Dog Has a Gift."

A Mini Me?

My mom's friend Julie and her 3-year old daughter stopped for lunch at our house recently. Look what they brought us!  How did they know we love dachshunds? I think a little elf told them.  ARF!
