Barbara Techel is the author of the multi-award winning Frankie, the Walk ‘N Roll Dog book series. When her dachshund, Frankie, suffered a spinal injury, Barbara had her custom-fitted for a wheelchair. Frankie persevered, and Barbara realized the beautiful opportunity she had to share Frankie and give others hope and inspiration to be the best they can be. Along with sharing Frankie’s story with children, Barbara and Frankie routinely volunteer as a therapy dog team at a local hospital, senior assisted facility, and hospice community, spreading joy wherever they go.

Photos from the Parade at Longfellow School

Tuesday I shared video coverage of my really, really exciting morning at Longfellow school being in Mrs. Hauck's 3rd grade classroom parade.  The WHOLE school was in the parade sharing signs and things they made to show what they learned for the year.  Mrs. Hauck's 3rd grade class chose me as their theme (I humbly blush) and what they learned from me... what a Fun-tastical morning it was.  See for yourself in the photos!

That is so neat! The kids did a great job on their poster of Frankie as well! :) I think you are doing such a great job with this. These kids are so lucky to get to meet Frankie!

Thanks Roo and A MilShelb Mom! I still have warm fuzzies in my heart after being in this wonderful parade- so happy kids learn such great lessons from me.
