Barbara Techel is the author of the multi-award winning Frankie, the Walk ‘N Roll Dog book series. When her dachshund, Frankie, suffered a spinal injury, Barbara had her custom-fitted for a wheelchair. Frankie persevered, and Barbara realized the beautiful opportunity she had to share Frankie and give others hope and inspiration to be the best they can be. Along with sharing Frankie’s story with children, Barbara and Frankie routinely volunteer as a therapy dog team at a local hospital, senior assisted facility, and hospice community, spreading joy wherever they go.

Teaching Guide to Expand on Valuable Life Lessons of Frankie the Walk 'N Roll Dog

We are very happy to announce the addition of our Teaching Guide to further expand on our Frankie the Walk 'N Roll Dog book series.

So how can Frankie help your students?

•successfully overcome challeges
•make positive choices
•be more compassionate
•understand the meaning and rewards of giving back

Our guide is designed for grades 2-5, though many of the activities can be tweaked to include younger or older students, as well.

To further enhance Frankie's lessons in a way that will have your students remembering Frankie for a long time to come, we suggest a visit with her in-person or via Skype. Frankie, our little Ambassador of Inspiration has proven in past visits to leave an everlasting, positive impact on students of all ages.

It is our hope and dream that Frankie's valuable life lessons will positively impact children around the world and instill in them that they can be the best they can be no matter what obstacles they face in life.
